problem:

GroupWise 6.5
GroupWise 6.5 SP2
GroupWise 6.5 SP3
Netware 6.5 SP2

Abend

The CPU encountered a problem executing code in GWENN4.NLM. The problem may be in that module or in data passed to that module by a process owned by GWINTER.NLM.

Server Abends when users choose the view file option when opening attachments in WebAccess.

solution:

Removed the view file option from WebAccess - Forces the end user to use the Open file, or Save File options. This causes the file to be either opened natively, or saved to disk.

Edit the webacc.cfg file and changes the line User.Access.View=true to read User.Access.View=false or open Console1, open the properties of the GroupWise WebAccess object, and choose the application tab. Under the application tab, there are several options you can disable. By clicking on the help tab, it explains what each option does.

Note: It you wish to continue to use this feature of WebAccess and do not want to remove it, there is most likely an issue with your viewer files.

Download and apply the latest viewer files.
