On the pwdsync service machine...
- Run regedit.exe and delete the following keys:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\
CurrentControlSet\Services\PWDSYNC - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{18b12728-da0e-45e6-a0c2-a38b35aadf33} - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
Novell\DirXML Password Synchronization for Windows NT/2000 - Reboot the machine.
On any domain controllers where the filter may have been installed:
- 1. Run regedt32.exe and:
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\
CurrentControlSet\Control\LSA, edit the Notification Packages value and remove the NWPWDFLT entry. - Delete the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
Novell\NwPwdFlt key. - Reboot the machine.
