Problem

You have users that were created without the uniqueID attribute. You are trying to use a web application requiring LDAP authentication. Some users can authenticate, and some cannot. The users that do not have the uniqueID attribute cannot authenticate.

Solution

Here's how you can fix the problem:

1. Download the uniqueID Mapper script from http://forge.novell.com/modules/xfmod/project/?uid_mapper.
2. Run it on your NetWare server or from any machine with Perl installed. Note: This requires Net::LDAP.

Now all your users have uniqueID's!
