I wanted to share a tip on how to keep files on your iPaq synched to all desktops via iFolder.

Note: the iFolder client must be installed on the workstation where the iPaq is connected.

  1. First create a new folder in your iFolder directory, i.e. iPaqFiles.
  2. On the workstation that has the cradle attached and ActiveSync installed, go into the registry key "[HCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows CE Services\Partners\{PartnerID}\Services\Synchronization] and change the value Briefcase to the newly created directory, i.e. C:\Documents and Settings\{userID}\iFolder\iPaqFiles\.
  3. Then reboot your workstation.
  4. Afterwards open ActiveSync and enable File Synchonization.

Now every iFoldered workstation is able to sync files (via ActiveSync) to your iPaq.
