SecureLogin loads after a user logs into Windows. The registry entry is under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]. Other software, such as GroupWise Notify or any other program requiring a user to log in, may load before SecureLogin. This poses a problem, as SecureLogin will not detect these login boxes.

Editor's Note: A more detailed solution to this problem is available at:

To get around this problem, you need to create a startup script. In the script, enter the run command as follows:

run "c:\program files\novell\securelogin\detectexisting.exe"

You now need to get the 'detectexiting.exe' file into the SecureLogin directory, available on the Protocom web site (Protocom support). This file tells SecureLogin to scan the screen for login boxes that have already displayed.

You can use ZENworks to copy the 'detectexisiting.exe' file to the SecureLogin directory when you roll out the SecureLogin client.
