Reader: "I upgraded from SP2 to SP3, and now in iManager I get this message:
Notice: Some of the roles and tasks are not available. To see the list of Roles and Tasks not displayed and troubleshooting information go to the View Details page.
When I click on the Details Page it shows that all the plug-ins for iPrint are not installed. I updated with iprintjar3 in the Patches section. Does anybody else have this problem?"
Kevin Fenn: Have you tried installing the newest iPrint plug-in for iManager 2.5? There is a new plug-in that has been released. To verify that you have the latest one installed, go into iManager | Configure | Module Installation | Installed Novell Plug-in Modules. Look down the list for iPrint Management. The version number should be 220.127.116.1150208 or greater. If it does not show up, check Available Novell Plug-in Modules and see if iPrint shows up there. If so, select it and choose to Install it.
If the iPrint plug-in doesn't show up in either location, you can download the latest iPrint plugin from download.novell.com. Select iManager as the product, and you should be able to see "iPrint Plug-in for iManager 2.5 (NetWare)". It is an npm. Once you have that, go back to Availabe Novell Plug-in Modules and choose New. Then browse to the new NPM and then install it.
Once the plug-in is installed, you need to upgrade your RBS collection if you are using a collection in the tree. If you look in the upper left corner of the iManager screen and it says Unrestricted, then you do not have a collection. If you see something like Collection Owner, then go to Configure | Role Based Services | RBS Configuration and make sure that iPrint shows up as one of the modules in the Installed column. It should list "iPrint Plugin", and the version should be 1.8.0. If it's not in the Installed column, it will most likely be in the Out-of-Date or Not Installed column. Simply find it there and choose to Update/Install it.
