Question:
Is there a way to quickly retrieve Address Book information without having to open Evolution?
Answer:
There is a cool little applet that pulls from evolutions contact list. To get this applet simply right click on the panel and choose, ADD TO PANEL | ACCESSORIES | ADDRESS BOOK SEARCH.
Note: If you do not see the Address Book Search applet, then you do not have the contact-lookup-applet package installed. This can be installed through red carpet by going into SYSTEM | SOFTWARE UPDATE.
After the applet has been added you can lookup contact directly from the panel.
