Problem:

Using Lotus Notes R5.12 in Novell Linux Desktop 9

Solution:

Simply download and install wine from www.winehq.com, then run the Lotus notes installer using wine.

Example: wine setup.exe

Make sure you install in your home directory so you have the appropriate privileges.

Once installed, run the command wine notes.exe and you have Lotus Notes R5.12 running on your Novell Linux Desktop

I had to make some adjustments to the default fonts in Notes but everything else is up and running with full program functionality. Enjoy.
