Solution:

• Go into Yast2 | System | etc/sysconfig Editor | Desktop, and change the value of the X_MOUSE_CURSOR from crystalwhite to Industrial. Click Finish to continue.

  
  

• Click OK to confirm your changes.

  
  

• Restart the GUI and your settings should be in place. Have fun.
