  • You can bring up Red Carpet by accessing it through the menu system.

    • Once loaded, go into Edit | Services. If you don't see in the list, then click on the Add button and type in that URL.

    • After clicking OK, you should now see the service listed. If you receive an error, then you either typed the URL wrong, or you may not have connectivity to the Internet.

    • Now that the service has been added you will need to activate that service. There are essentially registered and non-registered activation codes. Evaluation codes (good for 30 days worth of updates) are preregistered and can be used right away. Purchased activation codes are not preregistered and will therefore will have to go through a registration process. For more information on how to register your purchased activation code, see the following article: Novell Linux Desktop 9 Product Registration. Once you have your activation code registered, you can activate your desktop by going to the File | Activate menu, and then put in your email address and activation code. ** NOTE ** Activation codes are case sensitive and should be in all caps.

    • Once activated, you can click on the channels button and subscribe to the appropriate channels.
