Question: I have to use OpenOffice, and I'd like to know if there's anything available ON PAPER that would help me as kind of a quick-start card. I need something I can tape to my wall, like I did with WordPerfect back in the day. It's kind of annoying to have to go surf around looking for the answer when I just need a quick reminder. Do you know of anything like this?
Answer: We've heard good things about ClueSheets. They cost $3.95 apiece, and there is one available for each different part of OpenOffice (Writer, Calc, Impress, and Draw). They're in PDF format, so you can pay for them, download them, and tape them to the wall.
If you need to train your whole company, you can buy a site-license for them, so everyone can have one.
Here's the link for ClueSheets.
At Novell ATT Live in January, I saw Brainstorm Inc's Quick Start cards for OpenOffice Word, Spreadsheet, and Presentation.
We use Brainstorm's QuickStart cards for GroupWise, and our users love them.
Here's the link for the OpenOffice cards.
Here's a sample of their Quick Start Card for Presentation
