PROBLEM: ACT! database on NSS volume results in this message: "The database could not be opened because it may be in use by another application."

SOLUTION: Some solutions are already mentioned in this tip.

I once solved this much easier:

Give all *.HK4, *.LCK, *.TL1 and *.TL2 files the attributes shareable and delete inhibited.
