Problem
"I have installed Linux User Management for iManager 2.5. In the System Requirements it says I need to extend the eDirectory schema for Linux User Management. How do I do that? Where can I find the .sch or .ldif for this? I have already extended the schema with /usr/lib/nds-schema/rfc2307-usergroup.sch ... I didn't extend it with rfc2307-nis.sch because I don't use NIS."
Solution
Extend the schema with the code shown below. Make sure the "ou=Workstations" exists. This will enable iManager to work, to some extent. I had better luck with the plug-in (.npm) from the iManager beta dated 12/15/2004 rather than the newest one from June of 2005 from Novell.
