Problem:

I've installed and configured a fully functional Virtual Office on both NetWare and OES Linux only to find when I upgrade to SP4 on NetWare or OES Linux SP1, that my configuration is lost.

The Virtual Office home page prompts me to login and configure Virtual Office 1.6 on my server. Virtual Office won't update my existing Virtual Office container and I have to reconfigure and restore my Virtual Office configuration including team memberships, colour schemes, Company Info and bookmarks.

Solution:

It appears that Novell has changed the Virtual Office path on SP4 for NetWare 6.5 from:

sys:\tomcat\4\webapps\nps

to

sys:\tomcat\4\webapps\vo

If I copy the contents of the nps directory with my previous Virtual Office configuration to the vo directory, my Virtual Office pages are back in their entirety. You need to make sure that tomcat is restarted for the changes to take effect. This may also copy some unnecessary configuration files from iManager across as well.

Environment:

Netware 6.5 sp3, OES Linux, Virtual Office 1.5.
Not confirmed on OES Linux SP 1.
