A Forum reader asked the following question:
"All of our students have random IDs, such as P94823082. We would like their e-mail accounts to be in this format: firstinital.lastname@domain. How do I configure the the system so that users who are created get the proper alias? And how do conflicts get resolved, if two users have the same alias?
Here's the response from GroupWise guru Danita Zanre ...
1. In ConsoleOne, go to Tools | GroupWise System Operations | Internet Addressing.
2. Set the default addressing type to firstname.lastname.
3. If you have two users with the same name, you can override one in the Internet Addressing tab for the individual users and create a "free form" address for one or both.
