A Forum reader recently asked:
"Can anyone point me in the right direction about how to have abc.com and xyz.com running in the same GroupWise system? I am sure there is information about this somewhere, but for the life of me, I cannot locate it. We are running GroupWise 7.0.1 on NetWare 6.5 SP5."
And here's the response from GroupWise expert Danita Zanre ...
It's not too complicated.
1. Under Tools | GroupWise System Operations | Internet Addressing in ConsoleOne, add both abc.com and xyz.com.
2. Choose which one is the "default".
That very act will allow mail for both to come in, so firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com would both deliver without any further action.
Now, if you want firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com to be the outbound names, you have to make the "defaults" for the users to be correct. This is easiest if you have a GW post office that divides up the users.
For example, if all of PO1 are abc.com users and all of PO2 are xyz.com users, all you have to do is set the Internet Addressing for the "non-default" name for the PO. If the users are all mixed in together, then you need to edit EACH of the non-default name users and make their Internet domain the secondary one.
