A Forum reader recently asked:

"In the client login, we would like to put one DNS name for GroupWise. From there, we want the client to resolve the correct IP address - whatever post office the user is on, after the login -- and have the DNS name stay there, not the IP address. Right now, when the DNS resolves the address, the IP address is put in the address field. What can we do to change this?"

And here's the response from Tommy Mikkelsen ...

1. Put in an DNS entry named ngwnameserver, that points to a POA running port 1677.

2. Change the network address on all POA's from IP-Address to a dns-name.

Then the redirect should pick that up, instead of the IP address.
