How to Load/Unload NetWare NLMs, or copy the files from NetWare to Linux or vice versa remotely using OES Linux.

ncpshell can be used to invoke nlms on NetWare remotely using OES Linux. The following command on OES Linux will remotely load or unload NetWare NLMs.

Load sshd.nlm on the NetWare Server remotely from OES Linux server

/opt/novell/ncpserv/sbin/ncpshell --ip= --u=admin.username --p=password --invoke -parm1="sshd"

To unload use

/opt/novell/ncpserv/sbin/ncpshell --ip= --u=admin.username --p=password --uninvoke -parm1="sshd"

Some more commands of ncp shell are as follows:

Example to Get a File from the NetWare Server to the Linux Server

/opt/novell/ncpserv/sbin/ncpshell --ip= --u=admin.example --p=aPa$$w0rd --get --src="sys:/file.txt" --dst="/mig/file.txt"

Example to Put a File from the Linux Server to the NetWare Server

/opt/novell/ncpserv/sbin/ncpshell --ip= --u=admin.example --p=aPa$$w0rd --put --src="/mig/file.txt" --dst="sys:/file.txt"

Example to Dump the Contents of a File from the NetWare Server to the Linux Console

/opt/novell/ncpserv/sbin/ncpshell --ip= --u=admin.example --p=aPa$$w0rd --dump --src="sys:/file.txt"

Example to Display NetWare Server Version Information to the Linux Console

/opt/novell/ncpserv/sbin/ncpshell --ip= --u=admin.example --p=aPa$$w0rd --fsinfo

Works only from OES1 and OES 2 Linux.NCPSERVER must be installed.
