If you're having problems with forms that automatically fill in authentication information -- even when they aren't supposed to -- here's a fix.
With AutoComplete, an attribute called "AUTOCOMPLETE" can be used in <FORM> tags and should be recognized/honored by the browser. When it is set equal "OFF" the browser's AutoComplete functionality will not be used for the entire form that follows.
Modify the iChain login page (that corresponds to the authentication profile type you are using) to include this attribute.
If using the LDAP authentication profile, the ETC/PROXY/DAT/CALOGLDP.HTM could be modified as follows:
<FORM ACTION="auth-up" METHOD="POST" ENCTYPE="application/x-www-form-urlencoded" AUTOCOMPLETE="OFF">
AutoComplete can also be disabled on a per-field basis using the same attribute by referencing the attribute in the input field.
<TD><INPUT TYPE="PASSWORD" NAME="password" SIZE="40" AUTOCOMPLETE="OFF"></TD>
An enhancement request has been entered to make AUTOCOMPLETE="OFF" the default setting on all iChain login forms.
