This may be of interest to people who use NalWin32 as a replacement shell for Windows Explorer, who want to give a user access to only a particular printer window.

  1. Before turning on NalWin32 as a shell, create a shortcut to the queued printer on the user's normally hidden desktop. This, of course, is in the form printername.lnk.

  2. Then copy this file to a network location, in this case within the server's public directory, where it is available.

  3. Then create a simple App
    " Start.exe \\Servername\Sys\Public\xxxx\printername.lnk "
and associate this with the workstation object.

  4. Then turn NalWin32 back on as the shell.

Once the workstation has re-booted, the user has a printer icon that opens up only the required print queue and not the control panel\printers window that other solutions up to now have offered.
