Ever wonder why it takes so long time to distribute a large application to a workstation? Well, sometimes it's caused by the workstation running a realtime virus-killer.
Ed Leibrick had an article here about how to kill games, and the tool called Kill.exe from the location http://www.microsoft.com/ntserver/nts/downloads/recommended/ntkit/default.asp.
This could also be used to speed-up distribution with Zen/ NAL.
How to do it:
This example is using InocuLAN
- Make a "Run before" script that look like this:
"#KILL.EXE -f relmon.exe
- Make a "Run after Termination" Script that looks like:
#C:\INOCULAN\REALMON.EXE
This will speed up your distribution a lot. In my case about 60%.
