If you have users that are mobile or sitting on an ISDN line, you can use the Dependency to limit the access to certain programs getting installed, to prevent heavy downloads.
The easiest way is:
- Make a simple NAL object named "Nalobject A" and Force Run/Run Once it to the users that you want to restrict from downloading a program. You should do that at least one day in advance, since it takes one reboot before you have the Dependency option.
- Then you make the program you want restricted "Nalobject B" and make a dependency that "Nalobject A" is Not installed.
Now you won't get the program distributed to all those users that are associated to your Nalobject A.

I have an idea that just might be a little bit more flexible.
In the login-script, create a line like this:
SET NetAddr = %NETWORK_ADDRESS%
Now all you need is to make the same dependency, except you should look at the enviroment variable named NetAddr.
