The University of Kentucky has a vendor for our Pay-for-Print system. This system uses Pharos on Windows 2K. This works fine except for our wireless patrons. We needed a way for these patrons to get authenticated and be able to print though the pay-for-print system.
Here's how I solved it. I set up iPrint on one of my servers and pointed the NDPS printers to the pay-for-print queues. Printing for our wireless patrons is as simple as visiting a web page now! Without iPrint pay-for-print wouldn't have been this easy for our wireless patrons. Not to mention our ResNet users can use the same system allowing our students access to the B&W and Color printers in the student labs.
