Don't just scratch the surface, dig into ZENworks for Desktops 4. This course will show you the new features of ZENworks for Desktops 4 and give you hands-on instruction on how to troubleshoot them.
Troubleshooting & Business Scenarios
Scenario #1: You want to offer services to users outside the firewall. You have installed and configured the ZENworks Middle Tier server, but users are unable to login.
Solution: Attend day 1 to learn about the architecture and the method used to communicate with the middle tier. You will learn how to use a Sniffer trace to identify the problem and then resolve it.
Scenario #2: You are trying to restrict what users can do on their workstations so that you can reduce the amount of time you spend supporting the user. Group policies do no seem to be taking effect.
Solution: Use the method discussed in day 2 to identify and correct the problem.
Scenario #3: You want to deploy a large application to a large number of users without negatively affecting the network.
Solution: Use the methods discussed on day 3 for distributing application cache in conjunction with multicast add-on imaging and Wake-On-LAN.
Scenario #4: You are migrating from Windows 98 to Windows 2000 and want to use ZENworks to ease the process.
Solution: Use the methods discussed in the ZENworks imaging portion of day 4.
Upon completion of this 4 day course, you will walk away with hands-on experience with the new features of ZENworks for Desktops 4. Each student gets his/her own Lab environment. The student can then customize their environment using Virtual PC. You will also walk out with the ability to do the labs over and over again with a take-home DVD.
