I have seen a number of servers that are currently in daylight savings mode and after service pack 5 is applied and the server is restarted daylight savings mode is switched to OFF.
To fix you need to type
SET START OF DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME = (OCTOBER 26 2:0:0 AM)
This will put the server into DST mode and time is correct once back in sync.
Since SET Daylight Savings Time Status = on has been removed since SP4 this command cannot be used.
All is OK until the server is restarted and you then need to type the above command.
UPDATE
Since writing this tip I have worked out that the permanent fix is to ensure there is only one set of SET START OF DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME and SET END OF DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME in the AUTOEXEC.NCF.
When there are multiple SET commands for daylight savings in the autoexec.ncf it will reset the daylight savings setting.
