If you want to install NDS for NT 2.01 on a server that's part of an IP-only network that doesn't have multicast turned on, you must add a Directory Agent address in the SLP configuration tab in the NetWare Client settings on the NT Server.
The NDS for NT 2.01 install uses SLP for tree discovery, and it must have a Directory Agent in the configuration to discover the tree information during the install.
