If you're trying to install eDirectory on Linux(RH8), and you get an error stating the installation file cannot be found, you're not alone. What makes this problem even more perplexing is that the "missing" file is obviously there because you can see it.
- First, make sure you're typing the install command correctly. Many forget to include the "./" at the beginning of the command line. Here's the right way:
- If that doesn't work, check if the file is executable (/bin/ls -l nds-install) by looking at the permissions (typically rwxr-xr-x).
- Finally, you might want to try 'sh nds-install' if ./nds-install doesn't work.
