If your network includes clients such as DOS, Macintosh, OS/2, and UNIX that are not able to send jobs to Printer Agents directly, the backward compatibility of Novell Distributed Print Services (NDPS) allows these clients to submit jobs to the same queues they always have. An NDPS Printer Agent can be configured to emulate a print server and service jobs from the queue to an NDPS printer.
To configure a printer to service legacy queues, follow the instructions below:
- In Novell iManager click iPrint Management > Manage Printer.
- Browse to and select the printer you want to enable Access Control for.
- Click Client Support > QMS Support.
- Modify (add to/delete from) the Service Jobs from NetWare Queues list.
- Click OK or Apply to save the settings.
