Current version: BorderManager 3.6
We have seen some questions about whether BorderManager 3.6 might have some VPN throughput limitations. Some people find that when they're having a really busy day, the Border box will intermittently lose connection with the internet, only to return a few minutes later. If this is happening to you, all you need to do is increase the Maximum packet and Minimum packet receive buffers.
Take some time to study this outstanding BorderManager Optimization document (TID 10018669). This document provides some general performance and tuning guidelines, as well as information to help you better decide how to customize the tuning for your BorderManager Proxy Cache installation. Each BorderManager installation is unique and used differently. Consequently, many of the tuning suggestions will have to be modified to best meet the needs and requirements of your installation. The guidelines in this TID have been proven in many installations around the world.
