Ever wanted more than one NetWare Server command line console screen? Sometimes it might be cool to be able to view more than one screen of information at a time.
Well, actually, you can!
- Hit [Ctrl][Alt][Esc] and enter the hung console menu.
- Pick Option 3, Spawn a New Command Line, and voila - two console screens.
Commands can be issued on each screen completely independent of each other.
Want a third console screen? Just repeat the steps.
Another way to do this, as suggested by Ross Irvine:
You might want to add that you can spawn extra consoles from the command line (I use it if I know I'm going to unload
an nlm that'll never return!).
- EXEC COMMANDHERE
eg EXEC UNLOAD BADNLM
eg EXEC DISPLAY SLP SERVICES etc etc..
This spawns another console command thread (same as ctl-alt-esc 3).
To close a spawned console type:
BYE
