Transfer Ownership of Shared Folders (sort of)

You've probably all been there: You've set up a VISF (very important shared folder), and you've got lots of VIS (very important stuff) in there. The trouble starts when the owner of the shared folder decides that the grass is greener at the company across the street. How do you transfer ownership of the folder to someone less likely to get headhunted?
Well, actually, you can't. But you can fake it. Here's how:
- Go into the account of the unfaithful, departing user and grant all possible rights to the golden folder to a new owner (most probably, a user who is already a sharee of the folder).
- In his or her own mailbox, have the new "owner" open the shared folder and drag all items contained therein into another folder.
- Have the new "owner" share the new folder with everyone on the previous share list.
All right, we admit it. This solution is less then elegant. But for now, it's the best we can do. If any of you have a better idea, let us know, and we'll tell the world. Meanwhile, next week we'll tell you how you can possibly avoid this whole ugly mess in the future.
