Forwarding multiple messages in GroupWise 6 is easy. Just follow the instructions below:

  1. Hold down the Ctrl key and click the items you want to forward in your Mailbox.

  2. Click Actions > Forward as Attachment.

  3. Type a username in the To box.

  4. Click in the Message box, then type a message (optional).

  5. Click Send.

From time to time people around here ask how they can take multiple e-mails which they have received and send them on as attachments to a single e-mail. It turns out it is very easy to do, but I couldn't find it in GroupWise Help, or the Cool Solutions Vault so I thought I'd pass it on as a tip.

One e-mail as an attachment is easy. You forward it. For multiples, you can just drag them from your mailbox listing into the attachment area of the cover e-mail. That's easy too, but not obvious to everyone.

Hope the tip proves useful!

I had a client ask how to forward multiple randomly selected e-mails (Ctrl-clicked) from his mailbox, and couldn't find anything on your site regarding this particular question. We could have set up a shared folder, but instead I set up a Forward Rule. The Event is "User Activated", with no items checked. Item type is "Mail" and no conditions are set. In Add Action, select Forward To:, and choose an address, and appropriate subject and/or message. Save and Enable the new rule.

In your mailbox, Ctrl-click any messages you want to forward (it only works on selected items). Go to Tools, Rules, select the new Forward Rule, and click Run. The selected messages are forwarded to the recipient(s), and go to your Sent Items folder.
