Current version: GroupWise 6

A little while ago we published this Q&A, and we received another suggestion. If you have other thoughts, please let us know.

Question: Larry M. wrote: What do you folks recommend for a Mail List server with the GroupWise 5.5 system and the Small Business Suite 5.1?

Earlier versions of GW had a list server built in. Novell has said they do not plan to add one back in the product. We do not wish to use the NIMS product. Is there another solution?

Answer: We don't have a 5.x solution, nor is one in 6.x. There may be a partner out there who has built something, but we don't know who it is. At this point we'd recommend going with a Linux solution because it would be VERY inexpensive, and would be standards-based. If anyone out there has a good solution, please let us know.

The simplest way of running a list server is to run it on NetWare using Mercury from David Harris.
