When a tip comes in from a reader who's mailing address is somewhere in Sherwood Forest, you pay attention. The state of Texas' Bobby Jones gives us a tip to keep those shared calendars readable.

Here's the problem: Groups that share a common calendar in GroupWise sometimes can end up with a very busy view of their collective appointments, especially in the day and week views.

And the solution: By default, appointments in the day and week views are set to "Graphic Display". In this view, multiple appointments are hard to read and sometimes difficult to get to (you have to place your mouse cursor over the item to read it). However, you can change this default view by "right clicking" on the appointment and selecting "Text Display" from the resulting menu. Using Text Display, appointments are displayed by a single vertical line and the messages line up horizontally for easy reading.
