- Easy to use. Gives great stats for Top users and Top sites visited. Send this guy some money....
- Good first attempt, but shame on Novell for not having this more thought out. In a government agency, a person can easily create more than 200,000 lines of code. Each line needs to be reviewed for relevence and what occured. While brdstats gives a good summary, in the end, you still need to look at the entire log. Novell, get with it and publish a tool that we can use.
- excelent tool
- great tool for having conversations with students about what they are doing
- Make certain that you edit the configuration file so you can see statistics for up to 1000 top urls and/or 1000 top users. We also set our common log files to cycle every six hours. This allows us to get a more accurate picture of who is doing what on the Internet. We post the resulting htm files to a secure location on an intranet server so supervisors can do research on users in their group at their convenience. Someone needs to take this idea and make it better. This tool needs to be updated to run in a GUI environment, it needs to let you set a date range for usage summary statistics, it needs to generate graphs of the statistics, and the data for Top 1000 Users or Top 1000 sites needs to be generated in sub-pages so no one page has to be so long. Also, we need the ability to track unlimited users - so we don't have to use six hour log files to accurately see what the users are doing. How about a similar tool for the access control data?
- Would like to be able to filter by user.
- Filter by user will make it better
- Very nice, thank you!
