If you answered yes to any of the above, then try this utility.

How to Use:

1. Copy C1Upd.exe and C1Upd.ini to sys:\public\mgmt\ConsoleOne on your Fileserver.
2. Download the latest version of NICI and save it at sys:\public\mgmt\ConsoleOne.
3. Edit C1Upd.ini to suite your needs.

From this moment on, all you have to do is launch C1Upd.

How it works:

When C1Upd is launched, it'll check to see, if NICI is installed on the workstation, and if the versionstamp is the same as in c1upd.ini. If not, NICI will be installed.

Then C1Upd will check to see if the workstation has the correct version of ConsoleOne on its local drive. If not, you will be prompted to either copy it to your local drive and run it from here, or to run it from the server.

What's new in version 1.1.0.2:

• Silent install of NICI.
• NICI Check now use it's own version number.
• Integrates with Wolfgang's C1x from the Cool-Site.

Bugfix:
Corrected a bug that caused C1Upd to fail on a workstation, if NICI hasn't been installed before.

• This is an excelent tool. Well done.
• Make a batch file. xcopy z:\public\mgmt\consoleone\1.2\* c:\novell\consoleone\1.2 /e /d /y That will update your consoleone by only copying newer files. (Adjust the paths according to your install) Patrick Farrell
• Where is the C1Upd.ini file???
• Need c1upd.ini file before I can rate it,
• Where is the c1upd.ini file??? Or what's the info in it so we can make our own.
• Useful? No!!! Where is the c1upd.ini file or what's the info in it so we can make our own!
• How about snapins?
• Yes ... What about keeping snapins up to date, configured... and working? THAT would be helpful!
• The problems ARE NOT with the version of C1. The problems are with the SNAPINS !!!!!!!!!!
• From Tommy: Since Novell hasn't designed a file that controls the snapin's, only option is to copy everything :-( Otherwise, the launch would take too long time :-( However...When things are controlled by the C1upd.ini file, you are in control about when to do the copy.
• SnapIn's are updated along with the C1.
