tar -zxvf  XEN-3.1-x86_64.tar.gz
rpm -ihv --force < the rpm package filename >

• I believe that rpm's list is not complete. Install xen-tools-3.1.0-0.1.x86_64.rpm requires:- python-urlgraber...x86_64.rpm and python-xml...x86_64.rpm. Finally , when all job gets done. Attempt to create HVM failes due to errors it Python libraries been installed from original distribution.

• Just to be clear, this is not the same xen-3.1 build that is in openSUSE 10.3. These packages has had no QA and is not supported by Novell.
