The Linux kernel does not natively support mounting Novell NetWare 4/5 volumes.
SOLUTION: Use the opensource ncpfs project at: http://freshmeat.net/projects/ncpfs/
Build it and use ncpmount to authenticate yourself and mount the volume. If you're using IPX, be sure to build IPX support as a module, and not directly into the kernel - otherwise things just don't work well.

- minimal documentation and no examples.
- trash, this is an example of why linux never got into the enterprise. mount netware 4 and 5 volumes, who cares. Novell needs to give good answers and get this clutter off the novell site.
- It's a solution but it ain't cool
- This is even easier if you use yast on SuSE. 1) Install the ncpfs packages using yast. 2) Download and install the novelclient from http://novelclient.sourceforge.net/ Bingo! Graphical Novell login.
