I have a Wifi adapter (D-Link Air DCF 660-W) installed on my laptop with SUSE Professional. The OS found the adapter, installed the drivers, and has access to the internet from my office. However outside the office the adapter didn't find the DHCP server. Here lies the problem?
To solve this problem I changed the default line in the file /etc/pcmcia/config.opts from module "ray_cs" opts "essid=ADHOC_ESSID hop dwell=128 beacon_period=256 translate=1" to "module pcnet_cs" and can now connect to the Internet outside the office.
