After applying NetWare 6.5 service pack 3, iFolder and iPrint users can no longer logon

Problem:

LDAP trace gives constant "sslv3 alert bad certificate" errors whenever anyone attempts to logon to these services.

Solution:

I'd tried re-exporting the CA certificate to the iFolder and public directories, clearing the iFolder_ldap object's certificate attribute and verifying secure LDAP queries...none of which helped at all.

I stumbled upon a post by another NetWare user having the same problem.

Take a look in SYS:\Apache2\conf\httpd.conf. If your "include SYS:\Apache2\conf\mod_php.conf" line is appearing after the lines that load iFolder and iPrint then this is probably your problem.

Just cut that line out and paste it before the lines that load iPrint and iFolder. On my server they looked like this:

##### Begin Novell iPrint configuration #####
include iprint/ipp.conf
##### End Novell iPrint configuration #####
include "SYS:/NSearch/WEB-INF/NSSrchApache.conf"
include sys:\apache2\ifolder\server\httpd_ifolder_nw.conf

it now looks like this:

include SYS:\Apache2\conf\mod_php.conf
##### Begin Novell iPrint configuration #####
include iprint/ipp.conf
##### End Novell iPrint configuration #####
include "SYS:/NSearch/WEB-INF/NSSrchApache.conf"
include sys:\apache2\ifolder\server\httpd_ifolder_nw.conf

Save the file, shutdown iFolder with the STOPIFOLDER command at the NetWare console then crank it back up again with the STARTIFOLDER command.
