I have recently set up a series of updates which I required the PC to automatically login after reboots to simplify the process for the IT staff.

I found a problem when I tried to ZEN the required registry settings to set the AutoAdminLogin to "1". ZEN just wouldn't place the settings in the registry.

OK, so I exported the reg file from the App object and double-clicking the file I got information entered successfully but still no automatic login. After some serious soul-searching I found that the heading on my registry file was not what Win2K was looking for. I had to change the heading from:

REGEDIT5

to:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

before the registry settings would stay in and auto login on reboot.

No idea why, myself, but useful to know anyway.
