HP has a piece of software called the HP driver configuration utility.
It allows you download the point and print driver bundle for your LaserJet model N/DN/DTN from the HP web site - and then make changes to the bundle such that the defaults are as you want.
For example, you can make the DTN model of LaserJet the default, which means the driver has the duplex unit enabled within the driver and has the extra tray enabled, and you can then set the document default to duplex long or short edge.
Upload the driver to the RMS - and it seems to all work.
