We were having licensing problems with Netware 5 servers in a predominantly NetWare 4.11 tree. I found that the following procedure seemed to cure the licensing issues:
- Remove DS from the Netware 5 server
- Reinstall DS
- Install Service Pack 5
- Setup licensing
This seems to have done the trick so far. We had previously tried to install the licensing patches but either had problems installing them, or they were not making a difference.
