Here's how you can load Norton Antivirus protection on all systems across the network at user login.
Execute this script at Login:
IF OS="WIN95" AND DAY_OF_WEEK="WEDNESDAY" THEN BEGIN EXIT "vdatupdate98" END IF OS="WINNT" AND DAY_OF_WEEK="WEDNESDAY" THEN BEGIN EXIT "vdatupdateXP" END
Create 2 batch files, 1 for 95/98, and 1 for NT/XP
Win 95/98 Batch File "vdatupdate98.bat":
COPY Z:\TECHNICIAN\vdats\*.* "c:\Program Files\Norton Antivirus\*.*" cls EXIT WinNT/XP Batch File "vdatupdateXP.exe" COPY Z:\TECHNICIAN\vdats\*.* "C:\Program Files\Common Files\ Symantec Shared\VirusDefs\Incoming\*.*" cls EXIT
That's it! Make sure you use the quotes or C:\Program Files will be an invalid directory because of the space. IF you installed into a different directory make sure you change the batch file accordingly.

- Copy all files except zdone.dat
- After all files are copied copy zdone.dat
