One reader sends in this tip of three simple steps to enable the DirXML Trace Screen in NetWare:

  1. First you need to enable the Trace levels on the Driver Set object. You can do so using ConsoleOne by going into the Other Tab and adding 2 attributes:
    • DirXMLDriverTraceLevel
    • DirXMLXSLTTraceLevel (or something like that)
  2. Setting the values to 3 will generate verbose messages and setting to 0 will disable logging. Don't leave it set to 3 permanently on a Production server because it can slow things down quite a bit.
  3. Next you need to use DSTrace to capture the DirXML information. You can either use iMonitor and enable the DirXML Drivers and DirXML tags or you can use dstrace on the server console and enable the DXML and DVRS tags.
