In south Australia, a company called DTex Systems has created a program called System Skan that can tie into Novell versions 4.X and later and do real-time computer monitoring.
It uses a word list that can easily be modified. When a word in that list is typed in, the computer sends a message alert straight to the network admin or other IT support officers.
This means real time Instant Messaging, pornography and other bad network and user practices are being monitored and controlled.
