Ever wondered how to transfer a huge list of Proxy server authentication contexts from one BorderManager server to another without having to retype them all in at NWADMN32.EXE? Wonder no more. Here's what you do.
This will give you a file listing all of your NetWare servers under the base search you specified in the wizard. All you need to do is strip out the 'dn' entries for all the servers except your 'old' BorderManager server which will give you an LDIF file like this:
#This LDIF file was generated by Novell's ICE and the LDIF destination handler. version: 1 dn: cn=DEMO1,ou=resources,o=acme changetype: add bRDSRVSDefaultContextList:: MAAAAA8AAABBQ01FLmRlbW9fdHJlZTE= bRDSRVSDefaultContextList:: MAAAABgAAABBQkVSREVFTi5BQ01FLmRlbW9fdHJlZTE= . . .
All the authent contexts will be listed here, one bRDSRVSDefaultContextList entry for each context you see in NWADMN32.EXE.
All you have to do now is change the 'dn' field above to point to your new BM server's NCP object and then change the 'changetype' field to 'modify' and then import this LDIF file using the NDS Import/Export tool.
Naturally you could also automate this using ICE.EXE from a script/batch file.
