Configuring Inventory Policy Settings for Scanning Inventory

The Inventory Policy settings configure the inventory scanning at the managed workstations.

The Inventory Policy settings stored in NDSTM are associated with a workstation object. Each workstation object has an associated Inventory Policy.

The scan policies that you can configure in the Inventory Policy include the following:


To configure the Workstation Inventory policy

  1. Right-click a Workstation Policy Package (associated with Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT workstations) from the Console click Details.

  2. Click Workstation Inventory Policy Details Services.

  3. Modify the settings.

  4. Click OK.

  5. Click Workstation Inventory Policy Details Scanner Configuration.

  6. Modify the settings

  7. Click OK.
