Identity Manager Driver 3.5.4 for Delimited Text

Overview

Identity Manager Driver 3.5.4 for Delimited Text is a component of the Identity Manager Integration Module for Tools. This driver provides data integration between Novell® eDirectory™ and delimited text files. This driver also enables data to be shared between eDirectory and XML files that are in External Data Source (XDS) format. (XDS format is the defined Novell subset of possible XML formats. For more information on XDS format, refer to the DirXML Driver Kit.) Based on business rules that you establish, the driver automatically captures changes made to XML and delimited text files in your network and copies them to eDirectory. The driver also ensures that any changes made to eDirectory data are reflected in the delimited text files. Used in conjunction with other Identity Manager drivers and eDirectory, data can be shared bi-directionally between delimited text files and other applications on your network, and also with business partners' systems outside your firewall.

Because drivers don't exist for every application you may have, the delimited text driver is commonly used to bridge the gap between legacy apps and eDirectory. Therefore the delimited text driver has almost unlimited application.

Identity Manager Driver for Delimited Text is designed to be as flexible as possible. In fact, you can create your own stylesheets to enable the driver to work with virtually any text-based file that contains predictably repeatable patterns.
