Novell Business Continuity Clustering software is an integrated set of tools to automate the setup and maintenance of a business continuity infrastructure for a cluster of two to four clusters with Novell Cluster Services. Each site has its own independent peer cluster. The peer clusters in each of the geographically separate sites are each treated as "nodes" in a larger cluster, allowing a whole site's resources to fan-out failover to other multiple sites. Although this can be done manually with a cluster of clusters, Novell Business Continuity Clustering automates the system by using eDirectory and policy-based management of the resources and storage systems.

This download contains the 64-bit version of the Novell Business Continuity Clustering 2.0 software for servers running Novell Open Enterprise Server (OES) 11 SP1 in combination with Novell Cluster Services 2.1. See the download instructions for information about the file to download.
Novell Business Continuity Clustering software requires a license agreement for each business continuity cluster. For purchasing information, see Novell Business Continuity Clustering: How to Buy.
For information about software requirements for Business Continuity Clustering, see "Installation Requirements for BCC 2.0" in the BCC 2.0 Administration Guide for OES 11 SP1.
You also need to separately download the following software releases that are compatible with this version of BCC:
Open Enterprise Server 11 SP1
Novell Business Continuity Clustering 2.0 supports OES 11 SP1 with the latest patches applied. Patches are available through the OES 11 SP1 patch channel and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP2 patch channel. Ensure that the peer clusters are working properly before you install or upgrade to BCC 2.0.
Novell Cluster Services 2.1 and iManager 2.7.6 are available in the OES 11 SP1 download and patches.
Manager 4.0.2 Bundle Edition
The bundle edition is a limited release of Identity Manager 4.0.2 for OES 11 SP1 that allows you to use the Identity Manager software, the eDirectory driver, and the Identity Manager management tools for iManager 2.7.6. A BCC cluster resource driver template is applied to the eDirectory driver to create BCC-specific drivers that automatically synchronize BCC configuration information between the Identity Manager nodes in peer clusters.
Identity Manager is installed on one node in each peer cluster. The BCC license contains the credential you need to use Identity Manager beyond an evaluation period.
You must apply all maintenance patches for Identity Manager 4.0.2 on the Identity Manager node in each of the peer clusters before you install or upgrade BCC on any of the nodes in any peer cluster. Patches are available on Novell Patch Finder.
